Obama 

Became the President for the second term.

* Obama used two Bibles while taking the oath.

One used by Abraham Lincoln,  who abolished Slavery  in 1862.  

Another by Martin Luther King Jr, who lead the civil rights movement  from 1960 - 68.  

Both Lincoln and  Martin Luther King   were assassinated.

* Obama cannot become the  President for the third  term. 

US constitution  prohibits anybody  becoming continuously president for three terms.

After a gap of one term, Obama can again  contest for the presidentship.

* Obama is the 57th President . 

First was George Washington ( 1779)

Before him , UK was ruling US.( King George III was the king )

US got freedom from UK on 4th July 1776.

* 57 general elections were conducted in US, some presidents were re- elected. 

In that way, 44 persons had occupied the Presidential chair in 57 elections.

Obama is the 44th person to become the 57th President. 

*Out  of 44 presidents, four were assassinated while in power.

Abraham Lincoln ( 1865), James Garfield ( 1881) William Mickinley (1901 )

John F. Kennedy ( 1963).

* John F.Kennedy was the only Catholic, all others presidents were protestants.

He supported the Civil Right Movement lead by Dr.Luther King. 

President Kennedy was shot dead in 1963. Dr. King was shot dead in 1968,

* President Kennedy introduced the Civil Rights bill in 1963 to give legal rights to the Blacks.

In the same year, he was shot dead.

In 1964,  this bill  became an act signed by his successor Lyndon Johnson.

Black Americans obtained equal civil rights or legal rights.

They are entitled  to vote as well contest in the election.

* Obama contested to the Presidentship in 2008.

He was elected to become  the first Black American  President.

He was born to a Black muslim father and an American mother.

His father's name is Barack  Hussein Obama ( an African muslim from Kenya ).

Obama's full name is also Barack Hussein Obama.

So, he is mentioned as Barack Hussein Obama Jr.

* Obama's parents were students of Hawaii University. They loved and got married in 1961.

Obama was born in Hawaii on August 4th, 1961. ( Hawaii  island is a part of US )

Parents got divorced in 1964.

*In 1967 Obama's mother married an Indonesia student and moved to Jakarta ( Indonesia).

Obama remained in Indonesia till the age of 10 and moved to Honolulu for studies.

Honolulu is the capital city of US state of Hawaii.

Obama has been continuously staying in US since 1971.

He is a graduate  of Columbia University and Harward School of Law.

He got married Michelle in 1992 and fathered two girls.

* Now Obama has become the President  of US for the second  term.

If  President Abraham Lincoln had not abolished slavery in 1862.

If Martin Luther King Jr had not led  the civil rights movement from 1960 to 1968

If  President John Kennedy had not introduced  the Civil Rights Bill in 1963.

If  President Lyndon  Johnson had not signed and made  it an act in 1964.

 A Black American  Obama would not  have become the  President of USA in 2009.

There is a big history behind it , written in  the  blood, sweat and tears of Blacks.

* Abraham Lincoln and Kennedy played key roles in uplifting  the Blacks.

Martin Luther King Jr. led the Civil Rights Movement  and united the Blacks.

Lincoln, Kennedy and Martin Luther King , all the three were shot dead. 

They are the martyrs who laid their lives for this noble cause.

* The vice president  of US is elected along with the  President.

The present Vice President is Joe Biden.

He is the second powerful person. He conducts the proceedings of  the Senate.

In case, the  President resigns or dies, the Vice President becomes automatically the President.

No fresh election is conducted for the  Presidentship.

Then  the Vice President seat becomes vacant.

The President can nominate a person as Vice President on the confirmation of both the Houses.

( In India, if the President resigns or dies, the Vice president will become the acting President. 

Fresh election will be  conducted to elect the new President. ) 

Some  peculiar coincidences are found  between the two US  Presidents. Lincoln and Kennedy.

Lincoln was elected  to Congress in1846

Kennedy was elected to Congress in 1946.   Exactly after 100 years

Lincoln was elected as president in 1860

Kennedy was elected as president in 1960.  Exactly after 100 years

The secretary of Lincoln was named Kennedy

The secretary of Kennedy was named Lincoln.

Lincoln successor's name  was Johnson.

Kennedy successor's name was also  Johnson.

Andrew Johnson who succeeded Linclon was born in 1808.

Lyndon Johnson who succeeded Kennedy was born in 1908. Exactly after 100 years 

Lincoln and kennedy were shot in the head.

Both were shot dead on a  Friday.

It is the  rarest among  the rare coincidences, more than that there is no answer.
